Cell Phone Fraud

Communications technologies perform a direct and critical function in our daily lives. At the same time they permeate our existence and routinely invade our privacy. Thus, we need to be vigilant in protecting ourselves from fraud, unfair practices, and other abuses. For example, it is important to be on the look-out for overcharging, overbilling, and hidden fees; failing to honor rebate offers; telemarketing scams; charging for services not provided; unethical early termination fees; false advertising; fraudulent billing practices; restriction on cell phone portability; camera phone abuses; and many other types of unlawful or unethical conduct.
